Emergence

"Emergence" showcases pieces that reflects the inner turmoil and emotional landscape of oneself emerging out of the ebb and flow of depression. Through this process, the series explores the experience of confinement, isolation, and emotional weight of being trapped in one’s own feelings while manifesting out of the haze.

Emergence depicts the manic state of depression and the volatile cycle that simultaneously occurs with both depression and anxiety. Chronic worry leads to exhaustion, while low mood sparks fearful thinking. They concur together by sharing similar symptoms. (Insomnia, poor concentration, severe distress)
Stop motion becomes a method of observation, revealing imperceptible process.
Emergence plays a role in coming out of an artist's block, while navigating the intense feelings of being a human in the art making process.
